My Experiment with AI Headshot Generators: What Worked and What Didn’t

My Experiment with AI Headshot Generators: What Worked and What Didn't

Hey, have you ever thought about using AI to generate your headshots? I recently tried three AI headshot generators: Headshot.kiwi, Aragon AI, and AI SuitUp. Each had its pros and quirks, so I’ll share my honest take on each.

First up, Headshot.kiwi impressed me with its speed and sharpness. The headshots looked real, and they nailed the lighting and facial symmetry. They also offer style options, which made it flexible for different platforms. However, they don’t offer a try-before-you-buy option, and the backgrounds could use some flair.

Aragon AI gave me the most accurate representation of myself. If you want headshots that look like they could’ve come from a DSLR shoot at a studio, this one’s for you. They offer tons of background and wardrobe options, and the user interface is smooth. However, some shots had minor blur around the eyes and mouth.

AI SuitUp delivered polished, boardroom-ready headshots. The backgrounds are tasteful, color grading is solid, and the overall look screams “I mean business.” They also let you test-drive the platform with a free LinkedIn background changer. However, this one is strictly business, so if you’re hoping to use the photos for something more creative, this might not be the best fit.

So, what did I learn from this experiment? AI headshot generators can be a great option if you want high-quality headshots without the hassle of a traditional photo shoot. Just be aware of the quirks and limitations of each platform, and choose the one that best fits your needs.
